General information about our workshops

Rebecca Cowley is a trained lasercut artist and designer, delivering workshops in jewellery making which can be held near Birmingham city centre or The Old Printworks on Moseley, Birmingham. She is also available for bookings on location.

Workshops are taught using demonstrations, lots of practical work and with handouts with instructions. As well as creating jewellery, participants will gain the basic skills and knowledge to enable them to continue jewellery making independently if they wish.

Workshops are suitable for beginners and people who want to refresh their skills. All materials and equipment including tools will be provided. Participants must be 16+ or if younger they must have the dexterity to use jewellery pliers.

The jewellery you will make and take home include the following;

1 x Statement Charm Bracelet or Charm Necklace.

1 x Single Charm Necklace

1 x Pair of Earrings

1 x Keyring

Any extra jewellery made in the workshop can be purchased for an additional price per item.

Workshop Themes:

Let's get tropical! Create a fruity necklace with a mixture of our charms including watermelons, pineapples, piña coladas, turtles, hula-girls and palm trees. Perfect for next heatwave we've been promised!

Pick N Mix

Take your pick for a piece of jewellery with fizzy cola bottles, shrimps, fried eggs, foam bananas, jelly babies, mushrooms, jelly beans, jelly babies and cherries.

Retro Gaming

If you love all things retro, you'll probably enjoy this workshop - what will you create using our range? A pac-man bracelet, a nintendo necklace, a space invaders earrings, or something else?

Under the Sea

We take a dive into Ursula's treasure chest and rustle up some coral and shells, as well as messages in bottles, anchors and exotic fish.

We're recreating our popular Saved By The Bell inspired 80s workshop with all things patterned, geometric and BOLD.  Think neon shapes in Dan flavin inspired Fluorescence!

Autumn Leaves

Celebrating the changing autumnal colours of this time of year with all the flora of a British woodland.

Gothic charms just in time for that statement jewellery to match your Halloween party outfit.  Think Tim Burton/Adams family chic.

Light up the sky

Inspired by all things that illuminate the night sky, be it stars and planets or rockets and fireworks! Ground control to major tom…  Our attempt at the final frontier.  All that sparkles is definitely not gold but it will be fabulously twinkly and dreamy!

“I booked Rebecca to do a workshop with the women in my family as a Christmas present last year. We are all creative people and love the opportunity to get making, particularly jewellery.

We had such a lovely day with Rebecca who was so generous with her time, skills and materials. We  made fabulous pieces which have been worn and admired regularly since. I felt inspired by the session and look forward to joining on another of Rebecca’s workshops.”
